Foyer
We have a very large, bright entrance foyer with an 'atrium' window above.
Many ideas were put forward to make this area more interesting and it was decided to install a marine aquarium in the recessed area, put up a mosaic on one wall and around the walled area below the atrium window and purchase a 'Sunken Ship' play feature.

Mosaics
Elizabeth de Ath from Inspired Mosaics in Brighton (www.inspiredmosaics.co.uk ) has produced the mosaics. A mosaic of our school logo (which all pupils and staff helped to create) has been placed on one wall and a mosaic continuing the 'fish' theme runs along the wall below the atrium window. This mosaic also contains mirrored and 'sparkly' tiles, which catch the light causing reflections on the foyer floor.

Marine Aquarium
The Aquarium has been installed by Andy & Jim from Creature Comforts in Totton. The tank, an 'L'
shape (3 metres long and 1.63 metres wide) will provide serene, educational opportunities for all pupils.

Sunken Ship Play Feature
Continuing the ocean theme, the Sunken Ship Play Feature, constructed by Andy Frost Designs (www.andyfrostdesigns.co.uk) and Undercover
is a large plywood structure on a foam base. The pupils can climb 'on board' and sit within the structure. The shipwreck is filled with P.V.C. foam filled sea-life play shapes (fish, octopus, crab, clam shell etc.) for the children to play with.
A 'Shark' bench has also been placed in front of the fish tank.
