Governors

Springwell School was formed in September 2006 by the amalgamation of Netley Court School and Ridgeway House School. The governing body of Netley Court School was
re-constituted at this time, the governors becoming the governors of Springwell School.

COMMUNITY GOVERNORS

Jacky Hunt
Jacky
Hunt

Jacky Hunt joined the Governing Body of Netley Court School in September 1996. She was the Chair of Governors from September 1997 until 2003. She has continued in her role as Community Governor since then and is currently a member of the Finance Committee, attends staff interviews and the Headteacher's Performance Management.

She says 'The governing body is important as it allows an independent and calm view of the running of the school. I enjoy being involved with the pupils and the ability to make a difference to their education. I hope I can contribute to the well-being of both staff and pupils'.

John BennettJohn Bennett
John Bennett joined the Governing Body of Netley Court School in March 1996. He continued in his role as L.E.A. Governor when the governing body was re-constituted in September 2006. He is currently a member of the Finance Committee and has responsibility for Governor Training and attends the Headteacher's Performance Management.
Andrew Hoare
Andrew Hoare joined the Governing Body in May 2008.

Richard Wooster joined the Governing Body in July 2009. He is currently Chair of the Finance Committee. He is a Company Accountant with Southern Evening Echo.
Angela Allerton Angela
Allerton

Angela Allerton joined the Governing Body of Netley Court School in March 1995. She continued her role as L.A. Governor when the governing body was re-constituted in September 2006.

She feels she brings experience of working with children and families in other disciplines and says 'The governing body is important because of the independent support and advice it can offer staff and parents alike. I enjoy the opportunity it gives me to be part of a wider community and to be involved with these very special children'.

Lisa Vidler

Lisa Vidler was re-appointed as a Parent Governor in December 2008.

Irene Thorpe

Irene Thorpe was appointed Parent Governor in December 2008.
Jo Morley Jo Morley

Jo Morley became a Parent Governor at Netley Court School in December 2005. She continued in this role when the governing body was re-constituted in September 2006.

Jo says 'Each governor brings a different viewpoint to issues raised and decisions made. I feel I can bring a parent's viewpoint. I enjoy being on the governing body as it gives me an insight into what goes on in the day to day running of the school. I feel more involved and can appreciate the work that goes on at the school'.
