Yellow Class is working at Key Stage 1 and follows the National Curriculum which is differentiated to meet the pupils' level of ability. Literacy and Numeracy are taught in the morning sessions, whilst the afternoon sessions focus on the Foundation Subjects of Science, Music, Art, Design and Technology, Physical Education and Personal, Social and Health Education.

We continue this half term with our topic of THE SEASIDE. Our role play area will remain as the seaside… but some strange old items may appear for us to explore!

In History we will be learning about the seaside holidays a long time ago. We will be learning about what the seaside used to look like and what people used to do at the seaside. We will be comparing this to our own experiences at the seaside.

In PSHE we are starting to think about moving on. We will be thinking about what we are good at and what we enjoy doing in Yellow Class. We will then talk about our new classes.

In Music we will be doing some work on structure, which will include singing songs with different structures (such as rounds, songs with choruses etc.).

In PE our topic is Athletics. We will also be preparing for Sports Day!

In Literacy we will be looking at the books “Rainbow Fish" and "The Big Blue Whale”, “Six Fine Fish” and “Things To Do At The Seaside”.
